Given:-

  • Domination of ₹ 1,000 is 5.

  • Domination of ₹ 500 is 3.

  • Domination of ₹ 200 is 4.

  • Domination of ₹ 100 is 6.

  • Domination of ₹ 50 is 8.

  • Domination of ₹ 5 is 5.

To Find:-

  • Total Amount by Domination method.

Solution:-

Here, We have to find sum of all the money with their domination.

So, 5 (₹ 1,000 ) + 3 (₹ 500 ) + 4 (₹ 200 ) + 6 (₹ 100 ) + 8 (₹ 50 ) + 5 (₹ 5 )

 ⇒ ₹5,000 + ₹1,500 + ₹800 + ₹600 + ₹400 + ₹25

 ⇒ ₹8,325

Hence, Total amount by domination method is ₹8,325.

Some Important Terms:-

  • Denomination is a proper description of a currency amount, usually for coins or banknotes.
