Raju was a little boy when on his way to school he found a little puppy which looked very cute. It was drenched in rain as it had started raining heavily a few moments ago.

Suddenly a thought flashed in Raju's mind. He thought that he will take him home and give him food and shelter so that he would be safe. Then he glanced around and with a smile on his face picked up the little puppy and marched towards his home. Raju was scared because if his mother saw him coming back to home with a puppy and not going to school then he might get a nice scolding from his mother.

So he tip-toped towards the front door of his house so that nobody saw him. When he entered his house he took the puppy to his room and closed him in a box so that his voice wasn't heard.

Then he brought milk from the kitchen so as to feed the puppy. He took out the puppy from the box and gave him milk. The puppy happily drank all the milk as he was hungry from so much time.

Raju decided to keep him at home without telling anybody else. Then he kept the puppy in the same old box. And marched towards the main door. But to his great shock her mother was standing in front of him with a stern look. Now Raju was fearful that he might get scolding from his mom. But to his surprise she gave him dog food to feed his puppy. Raju was not able to understand what was happening. He expected that her mother would be furious but she had a smile on her face.

Breaking the silence Raju asked "aren't you angry with me maa?" he had a confused look on his face. Then her mother replied with a lovely expression on her face "I also wanted a puppy when I was of your age. But nobody allowed me to bring a puppy and due to this I never kept a puppy with me. But today I am happy that you brought a little puppy. Do you know?? I love puppies very much".

With this statement of his mother he was filled with joy and happiness. Then he kept his puppy with him without being afraid from anyone.
