The total money which is given back to Rakesh by the shopkeeper is Rs22.

Given: It is given in the question that Rakesh has bought 4 shirts that costs Rs450.50 each and 3 half pants that costs Rs225.25 each. He gave one note of 2000-rupee and one note of 500 rupee to the shopkeeper.

To find: the money shopkeeper has returned to Rakesh

Solution:

Cost of 4 shirts = 4×450.50 = Rs1802

Cost of 3 half pants = 3×225.25 = Rs675.75

Now,

Total purchases made by Rakesh = Rs2477.75

He gave one note of 2000-rupee and one note of 500 rupee to the shopkeeper i.e total Rs 2500

We find that ,

the total money which is given back to Rakesh
= Rs2500 - Rs2477.75 = Rs22.25 = Rs22 (approx)

Hence, the total money which is given back to Rakesh is Rs22.
