Solution :-

Let us assume that, Shyam think of the number was x .

step 1) :- Ram asked to double the number .

→ Result = 2 * x = 2x

step 2) :- Ram asked to add 6 to the result and then find half of the number .

→ New result = (2x + 6)/2 = 2(x + 3)/2 = (x + 3)

step 3) :- subtract the number that you thought and result will be 3 .

→ Final result = (x + 3) - 3 = x + 3 - 3 = x = original number .

therefore, we can conclude that, the above condition will satisfy for all positive and negative integers . .

Example :- Let us think of a negative integer, say (-6) .

step 1) :- (-6) * 2 = (-12)

step 2) :- (-12 + 6)/2 = (-6/2) = (-3)

step 3) :- (-3) - (-6) = (-3) + 6 = 3 (Ans.)
