Rs. 1 = 100 p

Rs. 700 =(700 × 100) p= 70,000 p

70000 ÷ 35 = 2000

There were 2000 toffees in the 2 packets.

Gɪᴠᴇɴ :

Cost of 2 packets of toffees = ₹700

Aɴsᴡᴇʀ :

Cost of 1 packet of toffee = 35 paise

Cost of 2 packets of toffee in paise = (700 × 100) p = 70000 p

Number of toffees in the packets = (Cost of 2 packets of toffees - cost of 1 packet of toffee)

=> 70000 ÷ 35

=> 2000

Fɪɴᴀʟ Aɴsᴡᴇʀ :

There were 2000 toffees in the packets.
