Answer:

The market price of the fan is Rs. 800.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Ram buys a table fan at 25% discount and sells it for 660 making a profit of 10%.

To find : What was the marked price of the fan?

Solution :

Discount =25%

Selling price=  Rs.660

Profit =10%

Cost price = Selling price - 10% of cost price

Cost price = 660 - 10% of cost price

If he got 10% profit then selling price =100+10%=110%

Then,

110\%=660\\1\%=\frac{660}{110}\\1\%=6

Cost price =100%

Cost price= 100\times 6=600

Now at the time of buying that ram got discount of 25%

So,

M.P=\frac{C.P\times 100}{100-discount}

M.P=\frac{600\times 100}{100-25}

M.P=\frac{60000}{75}

M.P=800

Therefore, The market price of the fan is Rs. 800.
