Ram gave 1/4 of an amount to his son,1/5 of the same to his daughter and the remaining to hi wife.If his wife got rs 30,800.What was the total amount he had??

Let the total amount of Ram=x

to his son= x/4

to her daughter= x/5

Remaining= x-(x/4+x/5)

=x-9x/20

11x/20

According to question 11x/20=30800

on solving we get x= 56000

Hence total amount of Ram= 56000
