Ram has twice the amount of money that Shyam has. If Shyam gets Rs. 20, he will have Rs. 30 less than Ram. How much money does Ram have?

Solution :-

Let Shyam has Rs. x with him.

Then Ram will have Rs. 2x with him.

Now, according to the question.

If Shyam gets Rs. 20, he will have Rs. 30 less than Ram has.

⇒ (x + 20) + 30 = 2x

⇒ x - 2x = (- 20) + (- 30)

⇒ - x = - 50

⇒ x = 50

So, Shyam has Rs. 50

Then Ram has money = (2*50)

= Rs. 100

Ram has Rs. 100
