ram is 7 times as old as his daughter n anthiyur. after 5 years he will be 5 times as old as his daughter what are the present age​

i) 7x = y (daughter's age be x & his age y)

ii) 5 × (x+5) = (y+5)

=> 5x+25 = y +5

=> 25-5 = y-5x

=> y-5x = 20

=> 7x- 5x = 20 [ since y=7x, which is from (i) ]

=> 2x = 20

=> x = 10

=> 7x = y

=> 7×10 = y

=> y = 70

Therefore, present age of Ram = 70 yrs.

And, present age of his daughter = 10 yrs
