Total distance = 3km

half of it = 1.5 km = 1500 m

time taken to travel 1st half will be

T = 1500/50 = 30 s

time taken to travel 2nd half will be

T = 1500/75 = 20 s

Total time = 30 + 20 = 50 s

total distance = 3000 m

Required speed = 3000/50 = 60 m/s
