Raman had 30 flowers he offered from flowers in a temple and found that the ratio of the number of remaining flowers to that of flowers in the beginning is 2 ratio 5 find the number of flower offered by him in the temple

let the total no. of flower be x
no. of flowers remaining = x - 30
.•. x - 30 : x = 2:5
2 × x = (x-30) × 5
2x = 5x - 150
5x - 2x = 150
3x = 150
x = 150/3
.•. x = 50
