x = remaining flowers
Since the ratio is given to us in the form of REMAINING : INITIAL, we simply form an equation with initial flowers in the denominator, and remaining flowers in the numerator.

Sushant1hduudj3: Answer is not appropriate according to my book. According yo my book the right answer is 18
zeborg: Yes, the answer must be 18 since the question asks the number of flowers offered by Raman. I have found the number of remaining flowers, that is 12. Now the flowers offered by him will be the difference between what he had in the beginning and what he has remaining, that is, 30-12=18
