Ramana has to score 40% marks for passing the examination . he gets 178 marks and failed by 22 marks. find the maximum mark.

Passing mark=200=20%of Max marks
Maximum marks =200*5=1000

Maximum marks are 500. 200 are the passing marks which are 40% of 500.
