- present age of suresh is 12

we also know the time gap remains the same for both so ,

-lets take the time gap as "x"

20 - x = 2(12 - x)

{as the age of Ramesh "x" years ago was 2times of suresh's age "x" years ago .

= solving the equation we get.

24 - 20 = 2x -x

= x= 4.
