Per month earning = Rs.40,000

3/8 of income is spent on food
So 3/8 x 40,000 = Rs 15,000 spent on food

Remaining = 40,000 - 15,000 = Rs 25,000

1/5 of remaining on LIC Premium
So 1/5 x 25,000 = Rs 5,000

Remaining = 25,000 - 5,000 = Rs 20,000

1/2 on remaining expenses
1/2 x 20,000 = Rs10,000

Total amount remaining with him is Rs 20,000 - 10,000 = Rs 10,000

Hope This Helps You!

Per month earning of Ramesh
=Rs 40,000
(1) Income spent on food is 3/8
=3/8 x 40,000
= Rs 15,000
Remaining Rs =40,000 - 15,000
= Rs 25,000

(2) Expenditure on LIC Premium is 1/5 of the Remaining
=1/5 X 25,000
= Rs 5,000
Remaining Rs =25,000 - 5,000
°Rs 20,000

(3) 1/2 of Remaining Expenses
= 1/2 x 20,000
=Rs 10,000

(4) The money left with Ramesh
=Rs 20,000 - 10,000
=Rs 10,000
Hope it helps.
