let the age of Ramesh's father be x
and Ramesh is y
now according to question ,
3 times Ramesh = his father age
3y = x --------(1)
now ,
after 12 years
situation will be
x+12 =y+12
now , according to question
his father age will be twice as Ramesh
( x+12 )= 2 (y+12) ------(2)
= x+12= 2y +24
=> x -2y = 12
from equation 1 we get
3y-2y = 12
y = 12 years
now x is three times of his son
so 3*12 => 36 years
hence , the Ramesh age is => 12 years
and father age will be = 36 years .

and

put y=3x
3x+12 = 2(x+12)
= 2x+24
3x-2x = 24-12
x = 12
then
y = 3x = 3*12 = 36
present age of ramesh is 12 and age of his father is 36
y = 3x
and

= 2x+24
3x-2x = 24-12
x = 12
then
