pushpa age = y .

given x=y+24;

10 years ago, Ramesh age is 5 times of pushpa.

that means,(x-10)=5(y-10)

y+24-10= 5y-50;

y= 64/4;

y= 16;X= 40;

therefore present ages of Ramesh and pushpa is 40&16 respectively.

Before 10 years x=5y.........(i)
After 10 years y+24=x..........(ii)
Sub (i) in (ii)
Y+24=5y
24=4y
