ramesh 's father is four times as old as Ramesh. After 16 years he will be twice is son. find their present age

Father's age = 4x
16 years later,
Father = 4x + 16
son = x + 16

ATP,
4x + 16 = 2(x + 16)
=> 4x + 16 = 2x + 32
=> 4x - 2x = 32 - 16
=> 2x = 16
=> x = 8

                x+16=2(y+16)
                 x+16=2y+32
                  x=2y+16-----------ii)
                 put ii) in i) we get
                 2y+16=4y

                 put y=8 in ii)
                 x=2(8)+16
                 x=16+16
                   x=32
