Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

Remuneration (Ramjibhai) = 3200 Rs

Remuneration (Kanjibhai) = 2560 Rs

◆ Explanation -

Given that Ramjibhai takes 16 hours and Kanjibhai takes 20 hours to colour a 640 square feet wall.

So Ramjibhai does 1/16th part of work each hour and Kanjibhai does 1/20th part of work each hour.

When they both work for same time, ratio of their payments would be -

Ramjibhai / Kanjibhai = (1/16) / (1/20)

Ramjibhai / Kanjibhai = 5 / 4

Remuneration received by Ramjibhai will be -

Remuneration (Ramjibhai) = 5760 × 5 / (5+4)

Remuneration (Ramjibhai) = 3200 Rs

Remuneration received by Kanjibhai will be -

Remuneration (Kanjibhai) = 5760 × 4 / (5+4)

Remuneration (Kanjibhai) = 2560 Rs

Hope this helps you...
