Formula = remaining =Total - [ cake eaten by person 1 + cake eaten by person 2 ]  

So , remaining cake = 2/7 + 4/5

Take out LCM..

10/35 + 28/35 = 38/35

Total - 38/35  

1/1 - 38/35

[ Take out LCM ]

38/38 - 35/38 = 3/38

Then the part of the cake left is 35/38 .
