rani covers a distance of 100 km with the variable speed . for the first half of his journey the speed was 20 km/ h and during the rest of his journey speed was 40km/h. calculate the average speed of rani during the whole of his journey. ​

First we have to find Time .

For first half of his journey

Time = Distance / Speed

= 50 /20

= 5/2 h

For remaining journey

Time = Distance / Speed

= 50/40

= 5/4 h

Average speed = Total Distance / Total Time

= 100/ (5/2 + 5/4)

= 100 / ( 10+5/4)

= 100 * 4 /15

= 400/15

= 80/3

= 26.666

= 27km/h
