Step-by-step explanation:

Let the present age of rani be x years and hamid be h years.

Then,

y = h + x

h = y - x

Now,

(h - 15) = (x - 15) * (1/4)

4(h - 15) = x - 15

4(y - x - 15) = x - 15

3y - 4x = 45
