Ranjan:

Cost Price of scooter = 6000

Spend on repair = 300

Overall Cost price = 6300.

Profit = 10%

Now,

Profit = 10% of 6300

         = (10/100) * 6300

         = 630

Then:

Selling price = Cost Price + Profit

                     = 6300 + 630

                     = 6930

Vineet:

Cost price of scooter = 6930

Loss = 10%

Loss = 10% of 6930

        = (10/100) * 6930

        = 693

Then:

Selling price = Cost Price - Loss

                     = 6930 - 693

                     = 6237

Therefore, Mukesh buy the scooter at 6237 rs.

Hope this helps!
