Answer:

=>> 55/4 litre  oil is left after cooking.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the amount of oil left in the container be x litre

Amount of oil used to dry puris = 1/2 litre

Amount of oil used for cooking other food items = 3/4 litre

The total amount of oil she had in container = 15 litre

=>                                               x + \frac{1}{2} + \frac{3}{4} = 15

=>                                                  x + \frac{2+3}{4} = 15

=>                                                      x + \frac{5}{4} = 15

=>                                                             x = 15 - \frac{5}{4}

=>                                                             x = \frac{60 - 5}{4}

=>                                                             x = \frac{55}{4}

Hence, 55/4 litre  oil is left after cooking.
