Answer:
Responsible Ranjana
Ranjana was on her way to school when she heard the soft weeping of a little child sitting on
the pavement. The little child was well-dressed and did not seem to be a beggar. She stood
beside him and guessed that the child might have been separated from his mother. She looked
around to see if she could ask someone for help.
Soon, some curious onlookers suggested that they hand the child over to them so that they
could find his mother. Ranjana’s sixth sense told her not to do so. The child too seemed to
hold on to Ranjana’s hand indicating his trust in the girl. Ranjana decided to call Uncle
Suyash, who was a police inspector at the local police station. With Uncle Suyash’s help, not
only were the child’s parents found, but a racket involving the theft of children was
uncovered. It seemed that the child was separated from his mother in a nearby market. A
woman, who wanted to kidnap the child, led the child to a distant place by luring it with
sweets. When the child realised he was separated from its mother, it began crying loudly.
Scared, the woman fled, leaving the child at the side of the pavement, where Ranjana finally
found him.
Ranjana’s responsible nature had saved the child and reunited him with his parents
