Let Ranjits's age be x

then

Ranjit=x

Lalit=13+x

Soman= x-4

Santosh= x+(x-4)

x+13+x+x-4+x+x-4=45

5x=45-13+4+4

5x= 40

x=40/5

x=8

Hence Ranjit =8 years

Lalit=21 years

Soman= 4 years

Santosh=8+4= 12 years\
