Raoult's law and its mathmetical expression
Answers
here ur answer
raoults law is a law of thermodynamics established by French chemist Frank cois marie raoult in 1887 .It states that the partial vapour pressure of each component of an ideal mixture of liquid is equal to the vapour pressure of the pure component multiplied by its mole fraction in the mixture .In consequences the relative lowering of vapour pressure of a dilute solution of non volatile solute is equal to the mole fraction of the solute in the solution
mathematically raoult law for a single component in an ideal solution is stated as
pi is equal to pi* xi
where
pi - partial pressure of component i in the gaseous mixture
pi* - vapour pressure of i
xi - mole fraction of the component i in the mixture
Hope it help
