Answer:

Urbanisation has been increasing at an alarming rate leading to several advantages as well as some disastrous consequences.

It leads to an increase in the standard of living, increase in employment opportunities, healthcare and well being of several societies.

It has led to the increase in the country's Gross Domestic Product or GDP.

Infrastructure is improving and efforts are being given to curb the increasing level of pollution.

However, there are some problems associated with rapid urbanization such as crime, pollution, lack of affordable housing and high density population.
