Raquel is studying a reversible reaction at chemical equilibrium. After making her initial observations, Raquel adds 10 g of the reactant to the reaction.

Based on her knowledge of Le Châtelier's principle, what can Raquel predict will occur?

A. The rate of the forward reaction will increase, which will cause reactants to form faster and the balance of the system to shift to the right.
B. The rate of the reverse reaction will increase, which will cause reactants to form faster and the balance of the system to shift to the left.
C. The rate of the reverse reaction will increase, which will cause products to form faster and the balance of the system to shift to the left.
D. The rate of the forward reaction will increase, which will cause products to form faster and the balance of the system to shift to the right.

Answer would be option D
Cuz Le chatelier's principle states that  if a constraint (such as a change in pressure, temperature, or concentration of a reactant) is applied to a system in equilibrium, the equilibrium will shift so as to tend to counteract the effect of the constraint.
So here reactants are added. So to counter act
Reactants must be consumed and shift the balance towards right
Hope it helps
