l : b = 6 : 5

Let l = 6x

b = 5x

It is given that ,

l - b = 34

6x - 5x = 34

x = 34

l = 6x = 6 × 34 = 204

b = 5x = 5 × 34 = 170

Therefore ,

Perimeter = 2( l + b )

P = 2 ( 204 + 170 )

= 2 × 374

= 748 units

given that the length and breadth are in ratio 6 : 5.

let the Length be 6x and breadth be 5x.

if breadth is 34 unit less than it's length,

therefore l - b = 34 unit

=> 6x - 5x = 34 unit

=> x = 34 unit

hence, length is = 6x

= 6 × 34

= 204 unit

breadth is = 5x

= 5 × 34

= 170 unit

VERIFICATION:-

= 204 - 170

= 34

hence verified

now perimeter = 2(l+b)

= 2(204+170)

= 2 × 374

= 748 unit
