ratio of length and breadth of rectangle is3:2 . If the length of rectangle is 5 m more than the breadth, find the perimeter of the rectangle.​

let the breadth=2

length=3+5

Answer:

let breadth = x m

than , length = (x+5) m

The ratio is given that is

length/breadth =3/2

so, (x+5)/x =3/2

here using cross multiplication , we get

2x + 10 = 3x

or, x = 10 m

means breadth =x=10 m

so , length = x + 5 = 10 + 5=15 m

Now ,

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2 ( length + breadth )= 2 (15 + 10 ) = 50 m Answer .
