Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

Ratio of the length and breadth of a rectangular field is 5:4 and breadth is 30cm less than the length .

To find:-

Find the perimeter of the rectangular field?

Solution :-

Given that

Ratio of the length and breadth of a rectangular field = 5:4

Length : Breadth = 5:4

Let they be 5X cm and 4X cm

Let the length be 5X cm

Let the breadth be 4X cm

and breadth is 30cm less than the length .

Breadth = Length -30 cm

=> 4X = 5X-30

=>4X -5X = -30

=> -X = -30

=>X = 30 cm

Now,

Length = 5X = 5×30 = 150 cm

Breadth = 4X = 4×30 = 120 cm

We know that

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(length+breadth) units

Perimeter of the rectangular field

=> 2(150+120) cm

=> 2(270) cm

=> 540 cm

Perimeter = 540 cm

Answer:-

The perimeter of the rectangular field = 540 cm

Check:-

Length :breadth = 150:120 = 5:4

breadth = 150-30=120 cm

Verified the given relations.

Used formula:-

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(length+breadth) units
