Given :

  • Ratio of three sides of a Triangle is 2:5:7.
  • Perimeter of triangle is 98 cm .

To Find :

  • Sides of the triangle .

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{Let\:first\:side\:be=2x}

\longmapsto\tt{Let\:second\:side\:be=5x}

\longmapsto\tt{Let\:third\:side\:be=7x}

A.T.Q :

\longmapsto\tt{2x+5x+7x=98}

\longmapsto\tt{14x=98}

\longmapsto\tt{x=\cancel\dfrac{98}{14}}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{x=7}

Value of x is 7 .

Therefore :

\longmapsto\tt{Length\:of\:first\:side=2(7)}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{14\:cm}

\longmapsto\tt{Length\:of\:second\:side=5(7)}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{35\:cm}

\longmapsto\tt{Length\:of\:third\:side=7(7)}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{49\:cm}

ㅤㅤ» Let :-

  • First side be 2s
  • Second side be 5s
  • Third side be 7s

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ━━━━━━━━━━

\qquad:\implies\quad\sf Perimeter_{(Triangle)} = Sum\: of \:it's \:sides

Putting all known values :-

\qquad:\implies\quad\sf 98 = 2s + 5s + 7s

\qquad:\implies\quad\sf 98 = 14s

\qquad:\implies\quad\sf \dfrac{98}{14} = s

\qquad:\implies\quad\sf \dfrac{\cancel{98}}{\cancel{14}} = s

\qquad:\implies\quad{\boxed{\frak{\orange{s = 7\:units}}}}\:\blue{\bigstar}

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ━━━━━━━━━━

Hence,

  • First side = 2s = 2 × 7 = 14 units
  • Second side = 5s = 5 × 7 = 35 units
  • Third side = 7s = 7 × 7 = 49 units
