GIVEN :-

  • Ratio of the two adjacent sides of paralellogram = 3 : 8
  • Perimeter of the parallelogram = 110 cm

TO FIND :-

  • The Sides of the parallelogram

SOLUTION :-

Let the ratio constant be "x". Then the sides becomes , "3x" and "8x"

In a parallelogram opposite sides are equal . So , The other two sides are also "3x" and "8x"

Perimeter of parallelogram = 110 cm

→ 3x + 8x + 3x + 8x = 110 cm

→ 2(3x+8x) = 110 cm

→ 2(11x) = 110 cm

→ 22x = 110 cm

→ x = 110/22 cm

→ x = 5 cm\\

Then the sides are ,

  • 3x = 3(5) = 15 cm
  • 8x = 8(5) = 40 cm

Hence , The length of the sides of the parallelogram are 15 cm , 40 cm , 15 cm and 40 cm.
