let x be the rational number

according to question,

x* 5/2 + 2/3 = -7/2

x * (15 + 4)/6 = -7/2. ( by taking LCM of 2 & 3 we get 6 as denominator)

x* 19 /6 = -7/2

so rational number = -21/19

Hope it helps....!!!!

_______________

Let the number = x

Now, according to question,

5/2 × x+2/3= -7/12

5x/2 = -7/12 - 2/3

5x/2 = -7-8/12

5x/2= -15/12

x = -3/6 = -1/2

Hence, the required number is -1/2
