√(3) - 1/ √(3) + 1

Multiply this by √(3) - 1/√(3) - 1

[√(3) - 1/ √(3) + 1] × [√(3) - 1/√(3) - 1]

{ √(3) - 1 } ^2 / √(3)^2 - 1^2
using (a + b)(a - b) = a^2 - b^2

3 + 1 - 2√(3) / 3 - 1
using (a - b)^2 = a^2 + b^2 - 2ab

4 - 2√(3) / 2

2 ( 2 - √(3) ) / 2

Ans. 2 - √(3)
