 \frac{1}{7 + 3 \sqrt{2} }

 =  \frac{1}{7 + 3 \sqrt{2} }  \times  \frac{(7 - 3 \sqrt{2}) }{(7 - 3 \sqrt{2}) }

 =  \frac{7 - 3 \sqrt{2} }{ {(7)}^{2} -  {(3 \sqrt{2}) }^{2}  }

 =  \frac{7 - 3 \sqrt{2} }{49 - 18}

 =  \frac{7 - 3 \sqrt{2} }{31}
