Hii friend,

=> 1/ 3+✓2

=> 1/ 3+✓2 × 3-✓2/3-✓2

=> 1(3-✓2)/(3+✓2)(3-✓2)

We know that, (A+B) × (A-B) = A²-B²

=> 3-✓2/(3)² - (✓2)²

=> 3-✓2/9-2

=> 3-✓2/7

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU..... :-)

hi \: ..

We have to rationalize :

 \frac{1}{3 + \sqrt{2} }

 = \frac{1}{3 + \sqrt{2} } \times \frac{3 - \sqrt{2} }{3 - \sqrt{2} }

 = \frac{1(3 - \sqrt{2} )}{(3 + \sqrt{2})(3 - \sqrt{2} )}

 = \frac{3 - \sqrt{2} }{ ({3)}^{2} - { (\sqrt{2} })^{2} }

 = \frac{3 - \sqrt{2} }{9 - 2}

 = \frac{3 - \sqrt{2} }{7}

hence \: \: rationalized
