Question

How much more time does Ravi takes to complete the worksheet?

Keys

  • Time Conversion

1 hour is 60 minutes.

  • Adding zero?

Add a value then subtract it. The amount doesn't change.

Solution

8h 25m: Ravi

5h 45m: Rohit

Let's add 15 minutes to both Ravi and Rohit.

8h 40m: Ravi + 15m

6h: Rohit + 15m

If we subtract it, we are adding zero. We can see clearly. Ravi takes 2 hours and 40 minutes more than Rohit.

More information

Multiplying one?

In the same logic, if we multiply and divide, the amount doesn't change. If only we don't choose zero. Dividing by zero is forbidden in math, as the quotient doesn't exist.

Then, why?

It is because division is the opposite method to multiplication. Multiply any value by 0, it is always 0. Continue subtracting 0 until nothing is left. In this logic, it is impossible to divide any number by 0.
