Step-by-step explanation:

Question :-

Ravi got Rs.x as pocket money. He spent 1/5 to buy stationary and 2/5 of it to buy chocolate .He was left with Rs.200. How much did Ravi get?

Answer :-

Let the pocket money be = x

According to Question,

He spent ⅕ to buy stationary items

He spent ⅖ to buy a chocolate

Now,

Money left after spending on all expenses = ₹200

So,

( \frac{1}{5}  +  \frac{2}{5} ) \: of \: x \:  = 200

 \frac{3}{5}  \: of \: x \:  =  \: 200

 \frac{3}{5} x = 200

 \frac{5}{3}  \times  \frac{3}{5} x = 200 \times  \frac{5}{3}

x =  \frac{1000}{3}

x = 333.33

Hence,

Ravi's pocket money = ₹333.33
