then box B=3×1/2=7/2 of A

= x × 7/2=7x/2

and box C=5×1/2 more than B

=11/2 + 7x/2

= 7x+11/2

total weight of three boxes=60×1/2=121/2

x+7x/2+7x+11/2=121/2

=2x+7x+7x+11/2=121/2

=2(2x+7x+7x+11)=121×2

=4x+14x+14x+22=242

=32x+22=242

=32x=242-22

=x=220/32

x=6.8

so,the weight of box A is 6.8 kg.
