Let the initial Amount be x..

Ravi 25% of his money = x - 25%

Ravi losses 20% of rest of money= (x - 25%)-20%

Ravi is left with money = 540

(x - x× 25%)-(x - x× 25%)20%= 540

(0.75x) - (0.75x)20% = 540

0.75x + 0.15x = 540

0.90x = 540

x = 540/0.90 = 600 is money he has at the beginning

Find the percentage of money left after he losses 20%:

100% - 20% = 80%

Find the percentage of money spent:

Spent = 25% of 80% = 0.25 x 80 = 20%

Find the percentage of money left:

80% - 20% = 60%

Find the amount of money he originally had:

60% = 540

1% = Rs 9

100% = 9 x 100 = Rs 900

Answer: He had Rs 900 originally.
