Let's

The Maximum Mark be 'x'

Ravi: To get pass mark = 30% of x + 15

Deepak: To get pass mark = 40% of x - 35

Then,

Pass Mark => 30% of x + 15 = 40% of x -35

\frac {30x}{100}+15 = \frac{40x}{100}-35

\frac {40x}{100}-\frac{30x}{100} = 35+15

10x = 50×100

x = \frac{5000}{10}

→\; x = 500

Maximum Mark Is 500

Pass Mark = \frac{30}{100}×500+15

=> 150+15

=> 165

Pass Mark Percentage

→\;\frac{165}{500}×100

→\;\frac{160}{5}

☞\;33%
