Answer:

Area of room=length * breadth

=3*4

=12

Area of one tile =0.5*0.5

=0.25

number of tiles is given by the formula,

number=area of room/area of one tile

So,

Number=

0.25

12

=48

Thus 48 tiles will be used to cover an entire floor

Area = length x breadth

= 8 x 6

= 48

Area of one tile = 0.25 x 0.25

= 0.065

number of tiles is given by the formula,

number=area of room/area of one tile

So, number = 48 / 0.065

= 740

Thus 740 tiles will be used to cover an entire floor
