Step-by-step explanation:

Let the CP be X

Ravish sold his motorcycle to vineet at loss of 28%

Loss = 28% of CP

=. 28X/100

SP of a motorcycle = CP - Loss

= X - 28X/100

= (100X - 28X)/100

= 72X/100

Vineet spent Rs 1680on it's repair.

New SP = 72X/100 + 1680

Vineet sold the motorcycle to Rahul at 35910 at the profit of 12.5 %

SP = 35910

Profit = 12.5%

Profit = 12.5% of 35910

= 12.5/100 * 35910

= 12.5*35910/100

= 4488.75

CP = SP - Profit

= 35910 - 4488.75

= 31421.25

•°• New CP = 72X/100 + 1680 = 31421.25

= 72X/100 = 31421.25 - 1680

= 72X/100 = 29741.25

= 72X = 29741.25 * 100

= 72X = 2974125

= X = 2974125/72

= X = 41307.29

Given:-

  • Ravish sold his motorcycle to Vineet at loss of 28% .
  • Vineet spent rs 1680 on its repair and sold the motorcycle to Rahul at 35910.
  • A profit of 12.5%.

To find:-

  • find the cost price of motor cycle for ravish...?

Solutions:-

  • Let the cost price of the motorcycle for Ravish be Rs. x.

  • Loss on the second box = 28%

SP \: \: = \: \: CP \: \: {(\frac{{100} \: - \: {loss \%}}{100})}

SP \: \: = \: \: Rs. \: \: x \: \: {(\frac{72}{100})}

Selling price of the motorcycle for Ravish = cost price of the motorcycle for vineet

money spent on repairs = Rs. 1680

Therefore,

total cost price of the motorcycle for vineet = Rs. 35910

Profit % = 12.5%

SP \: \: = \: \: CP \: \: {(\frac{{profit \%} \: + \: {100}}{100})}

 \leadsto \: \: {35910} \: \: = \: \: {(\frac{724}{100} \: + \: {100})} \:  {(\frac{{12.5} \: + \: {100}}{100})}

⟹ 35920 × 100 × 100 = (72x + 168000)(112.5)

⟹ 359100000 = 8100x + 18900000

⟹ 359100000 - 18900000 = 8100x

⟹ 340200000 = 8100x

⟹ x = Rs. 42000

Hence, Ravish bought the motorcycle for Rs. 42000.
