Given :- Salaries of Aman, Balram, Chandan and Dhiraj are in the ratio 2:5:3:7. If Dhiraj gets 40,000 more salary than Balram. Find the Salary of Aman .

Solution :-

Given that, Salaries of Aman, Balram, Chandan and Dhiraj are in the ratio 2:5:3:7.

So,

Let us assume that, Salaries of Aman, Balram, Chandan and Dhiraj are 2x , 5x , 3x and 7x respectively .

Now, we given that, Dhiraj gets Rs.40,000 more salary than Balram.

Therefore,

Dhiraj salary - Balram salary = 40,000

→ 7x - 5x = 40,000

→ 2x = 40,000

x = 20,000 .

Hence,

Salary of Aman = 2x = 2 * 20000 = Rs.40,000 (Ans.)
