When acids react with metals, they produce a salt with the liberation of hydrogen gas.
metal + acid ---------->salt + h2
example,
acid-HCL
metal - sodium (na)

HCL +Na ----->NaCL +H2
NaCL is the salt produced with h2 gas liberation.

hope it helps!!!!
