Read each statement below carefully and state with reasons if it is true or false:a. The net acceleration of a particle in a circular motion is always along the radius of the circle towards the centreb. The velocity vector of a particle at a point is always along the tangent to the path of the particle at that pointc. The acceleration vector of a particle in uniform circular motion averaged over one cycle is a null vector

Hii dear,

# Answers with explanations-
a) False.
Acceleration is directed towards centre along radius only if it's uniform circular motion. i.e. speed is constant.

b) True.
Velocity vector is always directed tangentially to cicular path at particular time. i.e. if the particle is released it will move tangentially.

c) True.
Average acceleration over full circular motion is null. This is because acceleration at every point is directed inwards in UCM, so after full circle all opposite vectors cancel each other.

Hope that helped you...
