Read each statement below carefully and tick the correct statements only a) A particle in one dimensional motion with constant speed must have zero acceleration. b) A particle in one dimensional motion with positive value of acceleration must be speeding up. c) A particle in one dimensional motion with zero speed may have non-zero velocity. d) A particle in one dimensional motion moving with constant velocity will have average velocity equal to instantaneous velocity.

Explanation:

Statements a,b and d are correct .

a)For A particle in one dimensional motion with constant speed no unbalanced forces acting so it will have zero acceleration.

b) When a particle increases the velocity then there is a positive acceleration.

(note here speedand velocity resume to be same thing, though they are different)

D)This statement is mathematically correct.

Option c is wrong because if an object is in motion than its speed can never be zero but its velocity can be zero. An object having, zero speed is at rest,so displacement is 0 and henceforth, velocity is also 0
