Let the age of meenu be a
Father's age = 3a
After 12 years,
Meenu's age = a+12
Father's age = 3a + 12
According to question
=> 2(a+12) = 3a+ 12
=> 2a + 24 = 3a + 12
=> 3a - 2a = 24 - 12
=> a = 12
Meenu's present age = 12 years
Father's present age = 36 years
Father's age = 3a
